Last night I made my first meatloaf!! And surprisingly it was wonderful!!! Here are some pics and the recipe!
This Meatloaf recipe if out of my grandmothers Methodist church cookbook!
3 lb ground chuck
3 eggs
1 can evaporated milk
1 cup of catsup
1 box of dry onion soup mix- both packs
1 cup of quick cook oats
1 cup of bread crumbs or cracker crumbs- I used italian bread crumbs
1 tsp. of salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
Mix it all together and put into 2 loaf pans! It is way too much for 1 loaf pan!
Cook at 350 for about an hour and a half. The thicker the meatloaf the more time it needs to cook.
When finished mix these together and put on top of meatloaf!
1 and a half cups of catsup
3/4 c brown sugar
3 tbsp. mustard
1 tsp. garlic powder
Meatloaf!!!!!!Yum
Mac and cheese with breadcrumbs on top!
The whole plate.. meatloaf, mac and cheese and green beans! The hubby loved this meal!
